I never got behind the wheel of a car until high school drivers education.
For some reason, with three younger brothers, my parents' cars were
always in use and there was never enough time to get some practice in.
Until I started the class and began driving a vehicle owned by the
school district. At that point, they felt confident enough that I
wouldn't crack up one of the cars they needed for day-to-day life.
Here are some experiences from that class, which have stayed with me for 30 years.
